  • Week 2 – Laura
    • Anchor of the week:  Be confident in Christ – #SoulSurvival #SoulAnchor
    • Verse of the Week:  Hebrews 4:16  Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. 
    • Do you know who you are, and Whose you are and where you belong?
      • Confidence in Christ – picture of two children (one trusting his loving parent, one fearful of his parent)
        • Jeremiah 17:7 – Blessed is the one who trusts
        • Proverbs 3:26 – The Lord is your confidence
        • Hebrews 4:16 – Confidence to find grace and mercy in time of need
        • II Corinthians 1:12 – Confidence in grace of God
        • II Corinthians 3:4-6 – Confidence through Christ that gives life
        • I John 4:17 – Confidence in the future because of who He is
    • Know, Be, and Do
      • Know who you are and whose you are (review last week)
      • What He wants you to be
        • I Peter 5:8-9 – Be alert for the prowling lion
        • Hebrews 4:12 – Word of God sharper than a 2-edged sword
        • II Timothy 3:13-17 – Be equipped
        • Ephesians 6:10-20 – Armor of God
        • Philippians 4:4-9 – Let mind dwell on the things of Christ
      • Then you can do – doesn’t mean be perfect, before you can do
        • Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith impossible to please Him
        • Matthew 25:23 – Faithful over a little
        • Galatians 5:22-23 – Fruit of the spirit
        • II Peter 1:3-8 – Being useful for him
    • Believe
    • Reminding us whose we are by spending time with the Lord
      • Time with the Lord – Crucial
        • James 4:8 – Draw near to God
        • Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord
        • Psalms 1:1-2 – Delight in the Lord
        • Matthew 14:22-23; Mark 1:35 – Jesus went off alone to pray
        • Isaiah 30:15 – Quietness and trust is our strength
        • Psalms 46:10 – Be still, stop striving
        • Psalms 34:8 – Blessed is the one who takes refuge
      • What does that look like for you?
    • M&M Game  YES!!!  There was chocolate involved in Bible Study.  Grab a bag of M & M’s and as each color comes out of the bag you can do the following list. 🙂
  • Blue – say something about how you spend time in the Word
  • Red – say something about how you spend time in prayer
  • Orange – say something about how you balance your “work” and your time with the Lord
  • Yellow – say something about how you can know you are loved
  • Green – say a truth from God’s Word that you can hold on to
  • Brown – say something you are thankful for
